Here are the latest shots from My April 18th 2013 Shoot
I have now uploaded all my Shelter Shots to Smugmug at http://derekroe.smugmug.com
You may now order prints directly from this website or just view all the photos that have been taken for the 3 shelters.
Thursday I was asked to do some shots of a friends Golden Retrievers. He is a celebrated Graphic Artist and Sculptor so I was a bit nervous at coming under his critical eye. Well the shoot went well as I’ve had losts of experience with Goldens (I have 2 of my own)
The artist is Vaidis Valaitis and his superb work can be viewed at www.vaidisart.com
In the end I finished up with 40 finished proofs for his perusal and he chose ALL OF THEM! Wow what a reception!. What follows is a selection of some of my favorites
Hope you liked them!
Just startedvin July shooting dogs only for the Rohnert Park Animal Shelter.
Follows are some of the fun photos taken between July & September 2012
Stay tuned for my next set of Shelter Shots
As of September I’ve added a new client to my list of Animal Shelters. I am now shooting for the Sonoma County Animal Shelter in Santa Rosa CA. This is the 3rd shelter with the others being Petaluma Animal Shelter and Rohnert Park Animal Shelter.
It’s getting pretty busy, but I’m enjoying it all.
Here’s some photos of my first shoot at Sonoma County Animal Shelter which is quite huge as it covers the whole county rather than just a city like the other two.
Thanks for looking. Stay tuned for more Shelter Shots soon.
Some new critters, some more fun
Next wee start shooting at the Rohnert Park Animal Shelter. Now I’ll have 2 shelters to photograph and hope to promote more animal adoptions. Some of the critters that you’ve seen here are now in loving homes, so something is working.
Here’s a couple of new ones
A video of some of my favorite shots from the Petaluma Animal Shelter from March to May 2012
It’s Hi Resolution mp4 video
IT’s getting to be about 2-3 times a month where I shoot photos of animals up fo adaoption at
the shelter. below are some of the recent ones for your perusal
Thanks for looking.
There are always some great friendly dogs & cats available at your local shelter looking for homes. Most have been checked out and are heathy & accimatised to family living. If you’re looking for a pet, thisis a great place to start. The handlers at the shelter will give you tons of info on each animal and be sure to place the animal in an envirionment that suits it’s personality/character.
